How to Make a TikTok Account Using Email Instead of a Phone
TikTok lets you register with an email address, so a phone number is optional for a basic account. The app may ask for a number later, for example to confirm or protect the profile, and then a 6-digit SMS code is required. A free temporary TikTok number can cover a one-off request like that.
Sign up with an email address
TikTok's sign-up screen offers an email option beside the phone option, and the email route needs no number at all. Choose Use phone or email, enter your birthday, and switch to the Email tab.
Type the address and a password, then enter the code TikTok sends to that inbox. The account works like any other once the code is accepted. Use an address you can still open next month, since TikTok sends password resets there.
Use a linked Google or Apple sign-in
The sign-up screen can also offer continue-with buttons for services such as Google or Apple, which skip the SMS step. Which buttons appear depends on your device and region.
The linked service handles the login, and TikTok builds the profile from it. If you later remove that service, set a password or add an email first, or you may lose access to the account.
Watching TikTok without any account
You can browse many TikTok videos without registering, which settles the question for people who only want to watch. Viewing needs no phone and no email.
Without an account you cannot post, comment or follow, and the app may nudge you to sign in after a while. Registration with an email takes care of that when you are ready.
When TikTok still asks for a phone number
TikTok can request a number during extra account checks, even if you registered with an email. Possible triggers are a new device, an unusual network, a restored account or a feature that needs confirmed contact details.
In that case the 6-digit code goes to the number you enter, by SMS. If the text does not arrive, the TikTok code-not-received checklist covers the usual causes.
Where a temporary number fits
A public line suits a test account, a regional check or a one-time sign-up that you will not return to. Open the TikTok page, pick a line, request the code and read it from the shared inbox.
Every visitor sees that inbox, so another person could request a login code for the same number later. A private number is the safer pick for a profile with followers or business use.
Sign-up routes that do not exist
No legitimate route creates a TikTok account with neither a phone number nor an email address. Some videos and blogs claim there is one, usually by pointing to a tool that fakes the check.
TikTok needs at least one contact method or a linked account to deliver login and recovery messages. Treat paid tools that promise otherwise with caution, since you hand them your login details.
