Terms of Use
These terms apply to everyone who uses getvirtualphonenumber.com ("the site", "we"), its public numbers, the API and the MCP server. By using the site you agree to them.
1. What the service is
The site shows free public phone numbers and the SMS they receive. Every inbox is shared: anyone who opens a number's page, the API or the MCP server can read the messages sent to it.
Numbers are provided by telecom suppliers, added in daily drops and switched off by those suppliers without notice. We do not guarantee that a number is online, that a message will arrive or that a code will work.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to agree to these terms. You may not use the site if the law of your country or any sanctions regime forbids you to.
3. Strictly prohibited use
The numbers on this site are public. Using them for any of the following is strictly prohibited:
- banks, credit unions, brokers and investment platforms;
- payment services, e-wallets, money transfer and remittance services;
- cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets and other virtual asset services;
- loans, credit, buy-now-pay-later, insurance and any other financial account;
- government, tax, social benefit, identity and e-government services;
- unlicensed gambling and any service that requires age or identity verification by law;
- registering accounts for, on behalf of or for the benefit of organisations and persons that are banned or sanctioned under applicable law, including terrorist, extremist and criminal organisations and persons on UN, EU, UK or US sanctions lists;
- fraud, phishing, scams, identity theft, impersonation of any person or company, money laundering and terrorist financing;
- spam, harassment, threats, and creating fake or bulk accounts to deceive people or platforms;
- evading a ban, a block or a sanction imposed by a platform, an authority or a court;
- any other activity that is unlawful where you are or where the affected service operates.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use a number and for complying with the terms of every service you enter it into. Do not use a public number for an account you need to keep or recover: anyone can read its inbox and request a login code.
Automated access through the API and MCP server is welcome. Requests that overload the service, or that collect data to resell it, are not allowed.
5. Enforcement
We may remove numbers or messages, restrict access to the site, the API or the MCP server, and keep the records needed to investigate abuse. We respond to valid requests from law enforcement and courts as required by applicable law.
6. Messages shown on the site
SMS are displayed as received from the supplier; we do not write or edit them. Codes are partly masked 10 minutes after arrival. To have a message removed, use the contact form.
7. Private numbers
Private numbers are not offered yet. Pages that mention them say coming soon.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
The site is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss caused by the use of a public number, a missing or delayed message, a number going offline or a third party reading a shared inbox.
You agree to indemnify us against claims that result from your breach of these terms or of the law.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Questions and reports go through the contact form. See also the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
